Peanut Butter & Pumpkin Heart-Shaped Dog Treats
Ingredients:
- 1 cup pumpkin purée (not pumpkin pie filling)
- ½ cup natural peanut butter (make sure it’s xylitol-free!)
- 2 eggs
- 2 ½ cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for grain-sensitive pups)
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin purée, peanut butter, and eggs until smooth.
- Gradually add the flour and cinnamon, stirring until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
- Use heart-shaped cookie cutters to cut out treats and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the treats are firm and golden brown.
- Let them cool completely before serving to your pup!
Store the treats in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for longer-lasting goodies.
